“OK - Today my 17 year son came home from being a counselor at Golden Slipper. He looked exhausted. He looked at me and said "best summer ever." and then fell asleep right after that. Wow. What a wonderful opportunity for a meaningful and fun summer. My younger son, 14 years old, also without a doubt had a blast at camp. One of the first things he said to me when he came home was - I miss camp. I really try not to take it personally. My children absolutely thrive at Golden Slipper camp and I am very thankful that it exists for them. We have been involved with Slipper for eight years and each summer has been wonderful for my boys. I know that this is only a letter but I would like to thank anyone involved with Golden Slipper Camp for the hard work that they put in during camp and all year. This is truly a gift to our family to be able to send the boys to this camp. I am not exactly sure what makes it so special but it just is. My boys come home better people than when they left somehow and closer with each other. They really get to have fun in a great way so that when they get back they can apply themselves to school.
