Golden Slipper Camp for Boys and Girls

Olympics

Golden Slipper Campers compete in a three-day Olympics, historically known as the Maccabi Games, in which all skills-athletic, artistic, and others-are celebrated in a friendly competition. All kids, no matter what their skill levels and talents, have an opportunity to participate.

We establish a theme and create four teams, each with names reflective of the theme. For example, the 2005 Star Wars theme translated into teams, called Darth Vader, Yoda, Luke Skywalker, and Chewbacca.

Kids compete in a variety of team and individual sports-swimming, boating, basketball, soccer, tennis, and much more, even good old-fashioned tug of war. If children are more inclined towards creativity than athletics, we've got plenty of opportunities for them, like writing, learning and performing a song; creating the team banner; and lots more.

The celebration and sharing of talent and skills at each summer session's Olympic games create lifelong memories for campers and staff alike.
