Golden Slipper Camp for Boys and Girls

The Swimming Pool

Golden Slipper Camp's beautiful swimming pool, nestled in a wooded area, heated and well lit for night swims, is used for three main purposes: daily swimming instruction, recreational swims, and special programs or events.

Instruction

We offer Red Cross instruction, taught by Red Cross-certified Water Safety Instructors, from beginner to more advanced levels. Most campers take classes three times per week, and the goal for each child during the session is to move up one Red Cross level by the end. Kids are so proud of their accomplishments, of the new skills they've mastered to achieve the certification level, and the thrill of taking steps to complete various physical endurance tests, like swimming laps, floating, or treading water.

Fun

Every day most kids take a dip in the waters of the Golden Slipper Camp pool. They can practice their swimming skills, splash around, slide down the double water slide, and mostly just have fun.

Kids who enjoy being around the water at the pool often enjoy our waterfront activities on our private lake, which include boating, fishing, and beach volleyball.

Special Events

Golden Slipper's Camp is the venue for many of our most popular special programs and events, like pool parties and our 3-day Olympic competitions.

We employ lifeguards to oversee the area and outfit the pool with the most up-to-date water safety equipment.
