The JCC Maccabi Games can be called the Olympics for Jewish teens. Sports are an important part of our kids’ lives (and the games), but the JCC Maccabi Games also serves a larger purpose by promoting community involvement, teamwork, and pride in being Jewish. The Maccabi experience includes amazing sports tournaments for ages 13-16, “JCC Cares,” where athletes join local community organizations for volunteer work, social events, and more. The JCC Maccabi Games are centered on 6 core values, and we hope to encourage our young people to incorporate these values into their daily lives. Teens will be able to join Team Philadelphia and compete in one of many sports.

We will be bringing our Dance, Golf, Ice Hockey, Girls’ Soccer, Swimming, Table Tennis, and Volleyball teams to Detroit and in Houston, our Baseball, Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball, Bowling, Flag Football (coed), Boys’ Soccer, Tennis, and Girls’ Volleyball (14U only) teams will be competing. Teens will also be able to participate in our Star Reporter track in both locations and get hands-on experience covering the games (they will work on everything from interviews to video editing to social media and more). We will have 14U and 16U teams in all sports except Flag Football and Ice Hockey, in which all teens play 16U.
